Female Athlete Volunteers
Female Athlete Volunteers is a teen-run organization connecting female athletes with volunteer opportunities to support their local community here in San Diego. Our goal is to help develop young women to become active leaders and have fun along the way! We are excited to kick off our 14th season of FAV in August 2024.
Female Athlete Volunteers supported over 50 charities in 143 events across San Diego County last year, and our members volunteered over 2,750 hours of their time and thousands of dollars in goods to support these local organizations.
When the adaptive class had to shut down due to COVID-19, my friend and I decided to continue the sessions on Zoom calls.
After each of my gymnastics practices on Saturdays, my teammates and I would spend the last 10 minutes of the adaptive class playing with the kids.
This is the flier I made to advertise the event that I led through FAV to sell Lilybod leggings and athleisure wear to raise money for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, an organization that funds research to cure muscular dystrophy.
